POSH: Wenn Websites zu Spice Girls werden

Der Begriff “webstandardskonforme Website” klang schon immer ziemlich dröge - irgendwie nach langweiligem Design und geflissentlicher Regeltreue. Besonders viel Liebreiz und Charme versprüht so eine “standardkonforme” Website nicht gerade. Weshalb viele Entwickler auch lieber von “Websites mit semantischem Code” reden. Oder schlicht die Qualität betonen. Was aber, zugegeben, auch nicht gerade glamouröser klingt. Mehr Pop also? Die Microformats-Community versucht seit der Web 2.0-Expo den Begriff “POSH” als heißen Markennamen zu etablieren. POSH steht für “Plain Old Semantic HTML”. Mit POSH werden Websites rausgeputzt:

Posh is an adjective, with a dictionary meaning of “smart or fashionable”, “elegant, stylishly luxurious”, “spruced up, smart or polished.
